Understanding the Assignment

Today is July 18, 2025. Today, I am in the middle of our July CREATIVE RESET—and I have challenged the participants to identify that one big, scary goal that has been placed on the back burner for far too long and to just do it, right now, in all its unprepared, unpolished, ridiculously rushed splendor.  Today. And I am doing it right along with them. I am challenging myself to revise and record an original song by the end of our reset: July 28, 2025. With lush orchestrations, acute production smarts, and the supreme grace and patience of Traviso Milner, I am able to grow musically and creatively, right along with my workshop participants. Today, I can ask the workshop participants to Do As I Do. Today, I am taking the time to reset, recalibrate, and give thanks, while striving to do better and learn what I can about my own resistance. Tonight, I will work on my breath control and phrasing and sing in the glow of my disco ball.
